Each class is assigned a time according to the order of the show for their number to be rehearsed.
If you are in 2 or more numbers, you will be assigned 2 or more different arrival times for dress rehearsal. All students are involved in the Finale HOWEVER- we will not be running our Finale number at Dress Rehearsal.
NO food or drink is permitted in the theatre. While numbers are being performed on stage, there is absolutely NO TALKING permitted in the theatre. Dress rehearsal is for the technicians to set lights, sound and cues for the performers, therefore absolute silence is necessary. (Theatre personnel will escort you out of the theatre area, if rules are not followed.) Thank you for your patience and understanding.
When you arrive at the theatre:
1. come in the front entrance & SIGN IN with an MDC staff member in the lobby 2. go inside the theatre 3. sit with your class to wait for your turn on stage. (students in more than one class are allowed backstage to change)
ALL STUDENTS should arrive at the theatre DRESSED in FULL COSTUME. This includes accessories, hairstyle, makeup and ABSOLUTELY NO JEWERLY! Makeup must be applied for taking pictures and stage lighting purposes on the Dress Rehearsal Day and the day of the performance. Additional costumes, shoes/accessories should be tagged with student’s name to avoid confusion. Parents: please no underwear under the costume and girls must wear the TIGHTS given with costume. (tights have cotton liner)
PHOTOGRAPHY
Photographers will be at Dress Rehearsals ONLY. Students may have their individual pictures taken at any time other than when they are needed on stage. The photographer will be taking individual pictures in the lobby. Class pictures will be taken by a second photographer immediately after each number in a designated area off stage.
